This face moisturiser came free with the newest Glamour magazine and I’ve been using it for the past week since I got it. Admittedly my face care routine is basic at best; face wipe followed by a scrub wash and…nothing. But time is creeping up on me so I’ve started adding toner into my routine and have been researching different face-specific moisturisers, so it seemed beneficial to try this balance Me. offering first hand.
So far it’s working wonders and I can certainly tell the difference to the skin on my face. As far as blemishes/even tone it hasn’t done anything because I’m alright in that department anyway, but the overall appearance of my skin is a lot nicer and brighter, with no puffiness in the mornings.
Make-up goes on a lot better because my skin is properly hydrated and, coupled with using a primer, the pair are working miracles in the foundation department. When it comes to not wearing full make-up the advantages are clear as well; the aforementioned brightness and evenness means I can skip heavy foundation quite comfortably.
The only downside to the product, in my humble opinion, is the smell. It’s r e a l l y strong along the floral route and, if I had a choice, that wouldn’t be there - or it’d be diminished at the very least. However, I use this just before bed so I don’t have to deal with it for too long, and a strong scent being the only ‘problem’ with something isn’t really very problematic.
