Tomorrow is essentially a pamper day; firstly I’m going to get my eyebrows done with Mum and I’m thoroughly looking forward to being spruced up for Christmas.
I’m also venturing into the world of the upper lip wax. Being of a Mediterranean background I’m dark haired and have been toying with the idea of upper lip hair removal/lightening for a long while. It’s not a Borat-standard tache by any standards, but there is a dark patch of fuzz on either side which is probably not noticeable to others but I want rid, so I’m getting it gone!
When I get home it’s hair bleaching time. I have four boxes waiting for me; my hair is so long and thick I need two boxes per time, so I can get two lots of bleach done tomorrow and will hopefully be a lot more evened out and hopefully ready to have a two-week rest ready for the colour.
Then I’m going to pamper and preen and buff and talc and moisturise and paint nails and generally have a lovely lonely afternoon.

Estée Lauder has been my one and only for six years. I’ve had a brief affair with MAC in that time, but it left me thoroughly unsatisfied and I embraced Estée again swiftly.
However, there is a new contender for my affections in the shape of Clarins Skin Illusion. I’ve just found a little tester packet and thought ‘why not?’ at worst I’d have to waste a facewipe and it couldn’t be any worse than the Mineralize Satin Finish by MAC that I so regretably flirted with.
The Clarins shade is a little dark for me - 109 Wheat - but it wasn’t a match by any means, this is just a little magazine sample. But the coverage, oh the coverage! It’s matte but light, even and smooth, generally very wearable and it isn’t showing any signs of creasing under the eyes or around the nose and lips. Plus it smells divine.
Estée I love you, and if this torrid affair doesn’t go the distance I will apologise and return with my tail between my legs, but I am going to go forth, get a correct colour match and give Clarins a go. I’m sure you understand.
